The Owls women's basketball team will travel to Denver, Colo. to participate in the Johnson and Wales Tournament. The W will take on Johnson and Wales on Friday, Nov. 9 at 6 p.m. CDT/ 5 p.m. MDT and Nebraska Wesleyan at 4 p.m. CDT / 3 p.m. MDT. LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The W women’s basketball team prepared for its return to the court after a 16-year hiatus with an exhibition match against Philander Smith College on Thursday, Nov. 1. The Owls did what they could against an already established team but was unable to get passed the Panthers defense in the 58-80 loss.

Athlete of the Month

Brandon Walker Men's Golf COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls Athletic staff has selected men’s golf player Brandon Walker as the Renasant Bank Athlete of the Month. The junior business administration major received All-Academic Team honors for a GPA greater than 3.5. He has led his team in 3 out of 4 tournaments, playing his best two rounds at the USCAA National Championship with an overall score of 144. For his effort, the Vardaman, Miss. native placed sixth in the tournament was named to the All-Tournament First Team.
