    COLUMBUS, Miss. ? The Owls softball team improves to 4-0 on the season, sweeping the Pioneers of Crowley?s Ridge College in doubleheader action on Saturday, Feb. 16. Closing both games in just five innings, The W defeated Crowley?s Ridge 17-0 in game one and 9-0 in game two.

    JACKSON, Miss. – In the first match of its inaugural season, The W men’s tennis team picked up a win at the Millsaps College Tennis Courts. The Owls defeated Louisiana College on Friday evening by a score of 8-1.
  • Women's Tennis Falls Short of Louisiana College

    JACKSON, Miss. – Being small in numbers, cost the Owls women’s tennis team the first match of the 2019 season. The W took on Louisiana College at Millsaps Tennis Court on Friday, Feb. 15 with a short roster. The Owls had to forfeit one doubles competition and one singles competition to fall 5-4 to the Wildcats.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls softball team defeated Rust College back-to-back in doubleheader action Wednesday afternoon to open the 2019 season at Don Usher Softball Field. The Owls downed the Bearcats 15-0 in both matchups to begin the season 2-0.
  • Clark Records 10th Double-Double in Champion Christian Victory

    HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Owls stretched past Champion Christian in a nail-biting road game on Tuesday, Feb. 12 in The Loren Mahoney Gymnasium. In a very intense game, The W went score for score with the Tigers but were able to outlast Champion Christian for a 72-63 road victory.
  • Owls Softball Opens 2019 Season at Home Against Rust

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – Following a historic comeback season in 2018, in which the Owls softball team finished fifth in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series, The W now turns its attention to the 2019 season, which kicks off on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT. The Owls will open the season at home in doubleheader action against in-state rival Rust College on Don Usher Field.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team fell 75-71 in overtime to Belhaven University on Saturday, Jan. 26 in Emma ‘Ody’ Pohl Gymnasium. The W fought hard but was unable to outlast the Blazers to fall 5-14 on the season.  Tavonta Jones went 7-for-13 from the field and added two points at the free-throw line to lead the Owls in scoring. Owls senior DJ Clark added another double-double to his record with 12 points and 15 rebounds. Other W standouts include Keith Harris with 12 points and Tre Pinkston with 14.
