    Owls senior forward My'Neka Frazier was named to the USCAA Women's Basketball Division I All-American First Team because of her effort during the 2019-20 women's basketball season.     MARIETTA, Ga. - The Owls baseball team split day one in the College Bash Tournament on Tuesday, March 10. The W grabbed one and dropped one, defeating 3-1 in game one against Trinity College but falling 3-2 in game two against Aquinas College.
  • Riley Leads Owls in Carey Collegiate Classic

    HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Owls men’s golf team finished 11th in the Carey Collegiate Classic hosted by William Carey University at Canebrake Country Club. A field of 14 teams played on the 6,891 yards, 72-par course in two rounds of 18 holes on Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10. With a 6-over par round and a 2-over par round, freshman Zach Riley was the low scorer for the Owls.

    TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Owls softball team split a weekend doubleheader at Stillman College on Saturday, March 7 at the Stillman Softball Field. Facing the Tigers in their second playdate of the season, The W was hoping to repeat the doubleheader sweep, a feat it successfully executed against Stillman earlier in the season. Unfortunately, the Owls came up just short, taking the first game 5-1 but dropping the second one 5-2.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. - The Owls baseball team dominated the Bulldogs of Tougaloo College in a doubleheader on Friday, March 6th. The W defeated the Bulldogs 8-4 in the first game and followed with a 7-2 victory in the second.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W Athletics and Visit Columbus are proud to present the 2020 Spring Pilgrimage 5K on Saturday, April 4. The 7 a.m. walk/run takes racer through the historical downtown Columbus and the beautiful campus of the Mississippi University for Women. Owls student-athletes and staff assist with the operations of the race each year and provide a one-of-a-kind experience for the racers.

    WEST POINT, Miss. – Senior Brandon Walker’s 1-over 109 led the Owls men’s golf team in the Blue Mountain College Golf Classic on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 after two rounds of play. Junior Coleman Suber earned a 5-over 113 as the Owls conclude the two-day 27-hole tournament in ninth with a team score of 37-over par.

    JACKSON, Miss. – The Owls women’s tennis team struggled in Jackson this weekend and was unable to best in-state rival Belhaven University. The Blazers had low numbers compared to The W’s full roster and had to forfeit two points but it did not hold them back. Belhaven defeated the Owls 7-2 on Saturday, Feb. 29.
