  • Owls Junior Golf Camp
    June 06, 2019
    COLUMBUS, Miss. – Head golf coach Benji Williams and the Owls golf program are hosting the first Owls Junior Golf Camp at the River Birch Golf Course with sessions on June 17 –20, July 8-11, and July 22-25. The four-day camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-16. At $100 per session, the camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon and will include lunch and swimming.
  • Spring 2019 Athletic Director's List
    COLUMBUS, Miss. – Athletic Director Jason Trufant and the Owls athletic program announced the Spring 2019 Athletic Director’s List honorees on Thursday, May 30. The list includes 105 student-athletes who achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better during the spring 2019 semester. Among those recognized, 53 have GPAs greater than 3.5 and 24 achieved a perfect 4.0.
  • Owls Volleyball Announces 2019 Summer Clinics

The Owls will host four position-specific clinics that will offer young athletes the one-on-one attention needed to make them an overall better volleyball player.

    DUBOIS, Penn. – The Owls baseball team played with extreme force during the fourth round of the USCAA Small College World Series against Bryant & Stratton. The W battled hard but struggled to come out on top falling 3-1.
  • Softball Finishes Third in the Small College World Series

    DUBOIS, Penn. – The Owls softball team finished third in the USCAA Small College World Series with back-to-back losses in the semifinal round to end their bid to the championship game. Senior pitcher Madison Scoggin pitched all four games of the tournament for a 1.08 earned run average on 26 innings pitched. She tallied 16 strikeouts with only two walks for four earned runs and 25 hits against.
  • Baseball Scores Two Victories in Day Two of Tournament

    DUBOIS, Penn.-The Owls baseball team proved that they were the team to watch with a 9-4 victory over Penn State Mont Alto in the second round and following a 9-4 victory against Selma University in the third round of the USCAA Small College World Series. With Tuesday's success, The W moves on to their fourth game of USCAA.

    DUBOIS, Penn. – The Owls softball team advances to the semi-final round of the USCAA Small College World series with Tuesday’s 5-0 victory over Penn State University – Hazelton. Owls ace pitcher Madison Scoggin pitched her 14th complete game to improve to 13-4 in her senior season.

    DUBOIS, Penn. – The No. 5 seeded Owls baseball team opened the 2019 USCAA Small College World Series against the No. 4 Wright State University-Lake Campus on Monday afternoon at Showers Field. After carrying the lead into the fifth inning, The W saw the Lakers bring in three runs on a single and a double to start a rally and close the game ahead of the Owls 5-2.

    DUBOIS, Penn. – The United Collegiate Athletic Association announced its All-American baseball teams, major awards, and All-Academic team at the 2019 USCAA Small College World Series pre-tournament luncheon at the DuBois Country Club Sunday afternoon. The Owls saw four players receive All-American honors while four players were named to the All-Academic team.

  • Softball Graduation Ceremony

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls softball team is set to travel to DuBois, Penn. to compete in the 2019 USCAA Small College Worlds Series and will miss Saturday’s graduation. The W along with the Owls Athletics staff will hold a graduation ceremony for eight softball seniors on Friday, May 10 at 9 a.m. in Poindexter Hall. Come out and celebrate the accomplishments of these student-athletes or watch the ceremony live.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W baseball team will continue its season when it travels to DuBois, Penn. to participate in the United States College Athletic Association Small College World Series. The Owls, now 16-11 on the season, grabbed the second season bid ranking fifth nationally among USCAA institutions.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. - The 2nd annual Owls Athletics Awards Banquet was held on Tuesday at the Lion Hills Center and Golf Club to recognize athletic and academic performances during the 2018-19 academic year in The W Athletics Department. With awards presented by coaches for each team, 27 individuals were recognized as well as team awards and a coaching staff award.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls baseball team closed the 2019 regular season 16-11 with back-to-back losses against Stillman College in its last home doubleheader. The W played well offensively but struggled to put together a defensive strategy to keep Tigers off the board.
  • Baseball Struggles During Road Doubleheader at Crowley's Ridge

    PARAGOULD, Ark. – The W baseball team hit the road for the last time of the 2019 regular season with a trip to Paragould, Ark to take on Crowley’s Ridge College on Saturday. The doubleheader was originally scheduled as a part of a four-game series but was cut to two after a couple of days of bad weather. The Owls struggled defensively against the Pioneers to drop both game of the day, 4-3 and 8-0.

  • Men's Golf Places 12th at Rhodes Men's Golf Classic

    MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The W men’s golf team traveled to Memphis, Tenn. to participate in the 2019 Rhodes Men’s Spring Collegiate Golf Classic Monday, April 15 – Tuesday, April 16. The Owls competed against some of the top NCAA Division III teams including Berry College, Belhaven University, Sewanee: The University of the South, and Hendrix College. The 16 teams played at the Windyke Country Club in Germantown, Tenn on a par 72, 6,774-yard course for 54 holes.
  • Softball Splits Road Doubleheader at Millsaps

    JACKSON, Miss. - The Owls softball team split a doubleheader with in-state rival Millsaps College on Tuesday, April 16 at the Millsaps Softball Complex. The Owls dropped game one 3-2 but had a fierce comeback for a 8-2 victory in game two. The Owls move to 22-9 on the season. 
  • Baseball Splits Tuesday Road Doubleheader with Rust

    HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. – The W baseball team took on Rust College in a doubleheader on Tuesday at the Rust College Baseball Field. A midgame comeback for the Bearcats took game one from the Owls 5-4 but The W recovered in game two for a 6-3 victory. With the doubleheader behind it, The W moves to 16-7 on the season and look to rise in the Week 3 USCAA Coaches Poll.

    NORFOLK, Va. - The Owls baseball team move us in the Week 2 USCAA Coaches Poll to tie UC-Clermont at the number three spots. The softball team remains steady at number two but with just one vote less than number one's Clearly University the Owls are on the verge of taking the top spot in Week 3. 
  • Owls Sweep Talladega in Midweek Doubleheader

    MOODY, Ala. – The W softball team traveled to Moody,Ala. for a doubleheader on Wednesday versus NAIA opponent Talladega College at Moody City Park. Due to heavy rain during the week, the Talladega softball field was underwater, so the two teams moved the competition to a neutral location.
