COLUMBUS, Miss. – Searching for their first win of the season, The W Owls return to action on Friday, Nov. 15 when they travel to Talladega, Ala. for the Talladega College Classic. During the two-day event, the Owls will face Rust College on Friday at 4 p.m. and Talladega at 5 p.m. inside the Tornado Alley Gymnasium.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – After back-to-back losses, the Owls women’s basketball team will have two opportunities this weekend to record their first victory of the 2019 season. The W (0-2) will travel to Sewanee, Tenn. to participate in the two-day Sewanee Hoops Classic hosted by The University of the South.
BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Keith Harris scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but The W was unable to outlast Blue Mountain on Tuesday, falling 70-66 in Tyler Gymnasium.

LAUREL, Miss. – Tavonta Jones served up 29 points in the 2019 Season Opener for the Owls men’s basketball team. The senior guard was supported by his high energy teammates in the match-up against Southeastern Baptist College Saturday evening, but it was not enough to bring home a victory. The W fell 100-89 to begin the season 0-1.
Virginia Beach, Va. – After a long and competitive season, the W men’s soccer team season concluded during the second round of the USCAA Division I Soccer National Championship. The Owls played well against Florida National, but they were unable to score in the second half and ended their journey to the USCAA championship.
LAUREL, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team opened the 2019-20 season against Southeastern Baptist College in Laurel, Miss. The W saw some highs in the match-up but struggled to overcome turnovers and land shots. The Owls fell 84-70 to the Chargers Saturday afternoon to begin the season 0-1.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – The Owls men’s and women’s cross country team concluded the 2019 season at the USCAA National Championship in Virginia Beach, Va. In chilly 40 degree temperatures and 20 mph winds, Madeline Newman and Caroline Greer competed well for the women’s team while David Young, Jonathan Mathis, David Standifer, Joshua Maughan, and Chase Norsworthy formed a 5-man team for The W.
