Coach Wolf's Thoughts
"Really proud of the way our guys played tonight and the energy they brought to the field. Game 1, I thought we played pretty well all the way around and had stellar pitching from sophomore Drew Williams who threw 5 shutout innings for us. RJ Dell did well on the mound in game 1 closing out the last 2 innings. Game 2 we struggled at the plate and defensively but [we] bounced back from a 6-0 deficit to take the win behind the shutdown pitching of Luke Hobson who threw 3 scoreless innings in relief. It's like I said many times last year this team continues to do amazing things and I can't wait till we are back on the field again!"
If weather permits, the Owls will return to action tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 19 when they travel to Jackson, Tenn. for a road rematch against Lane College. The first serve is set for 2 pm.
