COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men's basketball team will open up the second half of the season at home with a match-up against Campbellsville University – Somerset on Thursday, Jan. 10. The W enters Thursday's competition 1-12 while the Tigers will be hunting for their first win of the season with a 0-10 record.
Senior forward DJ Clark currently leads the Owls in scoring and rebounding. The Indianola, Miss. native has played and started in all 13 games to average 12.8 points per game and 8.9 boards per game.
As a team, the Owls average 66.3 points per game, 36.7 rebounds, and 11.5 assists. The W shoots 37.6 percent from the field, 27.0 percent in 3-point range, and 62.0 percent at the free-throw line.
Campbellsville is led offensively by freshman guard Titus Ransom. In his first year as a college athlete, Ransom averages 10.9 points per game and 4.0 rebounds.
As a team, the Tigers put up 75.9 points per game while shooting 41.1 percent from the field, 34.5 percent in 3-point range, and 60.5 percent at the free-throw line.
