The Cottondale, Ala. native put up 12 points in The W men's basketball team's exhibition game against Delta State University. The Owls lost the battle at the line to fall 69-55 to the Statesmen.
TALLADEGA, Ala. - Keith Harris and Tyler Jackson could not miss in the second half and did not have much margin for error as they helped bail out the Owls men's basketball team against Rust College in its opening game of the Talladega College Classic. In the 81-76 victory, the Owls claimed their first win of the season.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Searching for their first win of the season, The W Owls return to action on Friday, Nov. 15 when they travel to Talladega, Ala. for the Talladega College Classic. During the two-day event, the Owls will face Rust College on Friday at 4 p.m. and Talladega at 5 p.m. inside the Tornado Alley Gymnasium.
LAUREL, Miss. – Tavonta Jones served up 29 points in the 2019 Season Opener for the Owls men’s basketball team. The senior guard was supported by his high energy teammates in the match-up against Southeastern Baptist College Saturday evening, but it was not enough to bring home a victory. The W fell 100-89 to begin the season 0-1.
SHREVEPORT, La. – Owls newcomer Milos Zeradjanin scored eight points and returner Keith Harris and Jadon Routt had seven apiece, but The W lost to No. 11 LSU – Shreveport, 117-68, on Monday night in the exhibition play at The Dock in the Health and Physical Education Building.
