BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Owls men’s basketball run to the USCAA National Basketball Championship Tournament ended last night in a 77-55 loss at Lyon College in Batesville, Ark. The W played hard, but a slow start cost them the game inside Becknell Gymnasium.
HOTSPRINGS, Ark. – Senior guard Tre Pinkston led the Owls with a game-high 27 points on the road against Champion Christian College Saturday afternoon. Despite the effort, The W was unable to come back from a slow first half to defeat the Tigers. The Owls fell 88-83 inside Champion Christian Community Center.

The Zemun, Serbia native put up a game-high 20 points with 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and one block to propel The W ahead in its eighth win of the season.
SOMERSET, Ky. – The Owls men’s basketball team improves to 7-10 with a 99-86 victory over Campbellsville University – Somerset on Saturday afternoon. Tavonta Jones led The W offense with a career-high 32 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men’s basketball team will compete in its first home game of 2020 when they travel to Somerset, Ky. to face fellow USCAA-institution Campbellsville University – Somerset on Saturday, Jan. 18. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men’s basketball team continues its four-game winning streak with a 64-54 victory over Pensacola Christian College inside Emma ‘Ody’ Pohl Gymnasium Friday evening. The 6-10 Owls were led by senior guard Tre Pinkston who picked up 18 points in Friday’s competition. He was assisted by Keith Harris and Carlos Wilkerson who picked up 13 and 12 points respectively.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Director of Athletics Jason Trufant and the Owls athletic program would like to take the time to recognize the 111 student-athletes who received a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall 2019 semester. Because of their academic efforts, the scholars have been named to the Fall 2019 Athletic Director's List. Among those student-athletes recognized, 38 Owls hold at least a 3.5 GPA and 20 finished with a 4.0.
