BOSSIER CITY, La. – Junior Brandon Walker was the low scorer on the first day of the Centenary Hal Sutton Golf Invite for The W men's golf team on Monday. The Vardaman, Miss. native fired a round six over par to pace the Owls in their second tournament of the spring season.
With a 78 in round one, Walker sits in a three-way tie for 17th place as The W ranks ninth among 11 teams in the tournament hosted by Centenary College of Louisiana.
The Owls collectively scored a 328 round to outpace Belhaven University and the Centenary B team while East Texas Baptist University fired a 298 round to lead the pack for the number one spot at the conclusion of round one.
