Men's Golf Places 12th at Rhodes Men's Golf Classic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The W men's golf team traveled to Memphis, Tenn. to participate in the 2019 Rhodes Men's Spring Collegiate Golf Classic Monday, April 15 – Tuesday, April 16. The Owls competed against some of the top NCAA Division III teams including Berry College, Belhaven University, Sewanee: The University of the South, and Hendrix College. The 16 teams played at the Windyke Country Club in Germantown, Tenn on a par 72, 6,774-yard course for 54 holes.

The Owls finished 12th among the 16 teams with junior Brandon Walker leading the charge for The W. Walker scored a total of 226 (+10) to tie at 48th place against 90 other golfers. In 54 holes, he had seven birdies and 33 even par holes.

As a team, The W had a first round of 307, and second of 311, and a final of 304 for a total of 922. The Owls finished 58 over par beating out Belhaven, Fontbonne University, Millsaps College, and Hendrix.
