ROME, Ga. – Freshman Zach Riley was the low scorer of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational for the men’s golf team on Monday, Oct. 21 and Tuesday, Oct. 22. The Hernando, Miss. native fired two rounds of 5-over par to pace the Owls in the tournament hosted by Berry College.
CLARKESVILLE, Ga. – Second round woes took the Owls men’s golf team out of competition for first place in the Piedmont Fall Invitational. After ending round one in second place, the Owls dropped to the seventh spot to conclude the tournament.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – After a day of rain, the 2019 United States Collegiate Athletic Association Golf Championship was shortened to a one-round event and 20 teams took over Penn State Blue Course to make their mark in the national tournament. The Owls men’s golf team played a little below its season average but was able to grab a 5th place finish with an overall score of 310. As a team, The W was 12-over par and 18 strokes over first place winner St. Mary of the Woods.
The 2019 USCAA Golf National Championship tees off Monday, October 7th at 9:00 A.M. from the Blue Course at Penn State University. ALEXANDRIA, La. – Senior Brandon Walker scored one stroke greater than his best finish as an Owls and The W men’s golf team finished second at the 2019 Louisiana College Fall Invitational that wrapped up Tuesday at the Link on the Bayou.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The W men’s golf team traveled to Memphis, Tenn. to participate in the 2019 Rhodes Men’s Spring Collegiate Golf Classic Monday, April 15 – Tuesday, April 16. The Owls competed against some of the top NCAA Division III teams including Berry College, Belhaven University, Sewanee: The University of the South, and Hendrix College. The 16 teams played at the Windyke Country Club in Germantown, Tenn on a par 72, 6,774-yard course for 54 holes.
MADISON, Miss. – Led by junior Dylan Cash the Owls men’s golf team finished play at the Mississippi College Spring Invitational in Madison, Miss. in fifth place on Tuesday. Cash finished eighth for his first top-10 finish to lead the way for The W.
MADISON, Miss. – Junior Dylan Cash will head into the final round of the Mississippi College Spring Invite with an opportunity to earn his first individual top-10 finish of the season after opening day of the two-day, 54-hole event on Saturday.
BOSSIER, La. – All but one team were unable to improve in the second round of the Centenary Hal Sutton Golf Invite. The Owls completed day two with two additional strokes than their previous round but benefited from the miscues of other teams to complete the tournament in seventh place.
