Men’s Soccer Drops 5-2 Against Berry College

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Owls men's soccer team played a tough match today against Berry College. Despite the efforts in today's match, the Owls were unable to bring home a win, losing the match 5-2. With the loss, The W moves to 2-5-0 on the season.

Within three minutes of the second period, LaRico Lewis scored the Owls first goal. Eight minutes later, Andrew Bernard scored the second goal for the Owls.

Offensively, LaRico Lewis, Jacob Thomas, and Andrew Bernard all recorded one shot on goal each while Jacob Thomas was also credited with two shots. 

John McGee defended the Owls goal for the entire 90 minutes. The sophomore from Troy, IL, prevented four goals while allowing five goals.

The Owls men's soccer team will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 25 when they travel to compete against Birmingham Southern. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m.
