NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Owls men's soccer team dominated Welch College on Saturday, Sept. 7 to gain its third win of the season. The W put up a tremendous effort on the field and was rewarded with an 8-0 victory over the Flames.

The second half started great as the W scored three more goals leaving Welch College scoreless.
Senior Nikola Srzic spotted an opening and assisted Hunter Holdiness in the Owls sixth goal. The W was not done offensively as Zerick Brown and Kyle Rodiguez scored two more goals, placing the Owls in an 8-0 lead.
Coach Burnett's Thoughts
"I'm so proud of our guys not only for today's tenacious efforts but for this long 3 day, 3 game span. It is not easy to play a stretch like that and still come out undefeated. When we play our brand of soccer we can be a dangerous team and we did just that today. It was much needed to get the goal-scoring juices flowing and to have eight different players to contribute to scoring. Today as we have been a team of creating many chances but not finishing them the way we would like. Every player gained valuable experience today and we have learned valuable lessons in the last 3 days. Recovery is key as we look forward to playing very strong at Millsaps on Wednesday!"
The Owls will travel to Jackson, Miss. on Wednesday, Sept. 11 to compete against Millsaps College. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m.
