Men’s Soccer Season Ends in Second Round Loss

Virginia Beach, Va. – After a long and competitive season, the W men's soccer team season concluded during the second round of the USCAA Division I Soccer National Championship. The Owls played well against Florida National, but they were unable to score in the second half and ended their journey to the USCAA championship. 

The first half was off to a difficult start for the Owls as Florida National scored two goals within the first 30-minutes. At 40:35, Zerick Brown assisted Hunter Holdiness in putting the Owls on the board bringing the score to 2-1.

In the second half, the Owls defended as best they could, but the Conquistadors scored two goals within moments of one another. The Owls' continued to work hard defensively and offensively as they tallied five shots in the second half.

Goalkeeper, John McGee covered the goal for the Owls the entire 90-minutes, allowing four goals, 8 shots on goal with four saves.

The Owls men's soccer team worked hard this season and with their hard work, they were able to compete for the first time in the USCAA Tournament.
