    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men’s team was unable to pick a set against the NCAA Division II opponent Christian Brothers University on Friday, April 12. The W fell 6-0 to the Buccaneers in an afternoon match.

    COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls men’s tennis team took on NCAA DII opponent Delta State University in a homecoming competition on Saturday, March 30. The W did what it could against the in-state foe but struggle to score opponents to fall 9-0.

    NEW ALBANY, Miss. – The Owls men’s tennis team traveled to New Albany, Miss. to take on Blue Mountain College on Tuesday, March 19. The W pushed back against the Topper were shutout to drop the match 8-0.

  • Men's Tennis Defeats Louisiana College in First Ever Match

    JACKSON, Miss. – In the first match of its inaugural season, The W men’s tennis team picked up a win at the Millsaps College Tennis Courts. The Owls defeated Louisiana College on Friday evening by a score of 8-1.
  • Athletics Mourns the Loss of Tennis Coach Rod Hartzog
    August 28, 2018
    The W Athletics Department is mourning the loss today of former men’s and women’s tennis coach Rodney Hartzog.  After suffering a severe heart attack in May of this year, followed by multiple surgeries and procedures and a long period of hospitalization, Rod passed away Monday evening, August 27th, 2018.  He is survived by his brother Miller and his sister Nancy.  More details on arrangements will come shortly.
  • Spring 2019 Athletic Director's List
    COLUMBUS, Miss. – Athletic Director Jason Trufant and the Owls athletic program announced the Spring 2019 Athletic Director’s List honorees on Thursday, May 30. The list includes 105 student-athletes who achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or better during the spring 2019 semester. Among those recognized, 53 have GPAs greater than 3.5 and 24 achieved a perfect 4.0.
