Athletics Mourns the Loss of Tennis Coach Rod Hartzog

Men's Tennis

The W Athletics Department is mourning the loss today of former men’s and women’s tennis coach Rodney Hartzog.  After suffering a severe heart attack in May of this year, followed by multiple surgeries and procedures and a long period of hospitalization, Rod passed away Monday evening, August 27th, 2018.  He is survived by his brother Miller and his sister Nancy.  More details on arrangements will come shortly.

Hartzog Named Owls Tennis Coach

The Owls Department of Athletics has named tennis veteran Rod Hartzog as the new head coach of The W men's and women's tennis program.

Athlete of the Month

Katlyn Duke Women's Basketball Katlyn Duke, a senior women’s basketball player, has been named the February 2019 Renasant Athlete of the Month. The shooting guard from Philadelphia, Miss. has given the Owls a great energy off the bench and has been consistent in scoring, rebounding and defensive pressure.
