Bailey Scores First Double-Double in Victory Over Nebraska Wesleyan

DENVER, Colo. – Junior guard Rokila Wallace led the Owls offense with 19 points off the bench to aid the Owls women's basketball team in its 85-74 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday, Nov. 10. With the Saturday's game behind them, The W moves to 2-0 to open its comeback season.

Three other Owls contributed double digit points to the Owls scoring efforts against the Prairie Wolves. Autumn Taylor, Qiayon Bailey, and Tenazhia Hinkson scored 16, 13, and 10 points respectively.

Bailey, junior small forward, recorded the Owls first double-double of the season. Along with her 13 points, the West Point, Miss. native brought down 11 rebounds with one assist and one steal.

As a team, The W shot 47.1 percent from the field and 46.2 percent in three-point range. The Owls still struggled at the free-throw line going 15-32 but made up for the inaccuracies by converting turnovers by the Prairie Wolves into 25 points.
