NORFOLK, Va. – With four Owls teams making their first appearance in the USCAA Fall Championships and both basketball team receiving top 20 rankings in the final USCAA Coaches Poll, The W Athletics was ranked 15th in the final standing for the 2019-20 USCAA Director’s Cup.

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Seniors Autumn Taylor and My’Neka Frazier closed out their Owls athletic career on a high note, leading their team to a 67-61 victory over fellow USCAA-institution Oakwood University. Taylor led The W women’s basketball team with a game-high 17 points and eight rebounds while Frazier tallied her 15th double-double of the season with 14 points and a game-high 17 points.

TOUGALOO, Miss. – Jasmine Shaw led her team for the first time this season, scoring 18 points, and seniors My’Neka Frazier and Autumn Taylor collected 14 each, but the 12th ranked Owls women’s basketball team lost at Tougaloo College 89-65 on Thursday evening at Owens Health and Wellness Center.
MARION, Ala. –Senior forward My’Neka Frazier tallied her 12th double-double of the season to lead the -Owls women’s basketball team in a 70-54 victory at Judson College on Thursday, Feb. 6. The McComb, Miss. native scored 27 points and brought down 14 rebounds in late-week action against fellow USCAA-institution. With the victory, the Owls improve to 6-15 on the season.
COLUMBUS, Miss. - Women’s basketball player My’Neka Frazier has been selected as February’s Renasant Bank Athlete of the month due to her efforts on the court and in the classroom. The senior forward from McComb, Miss. has been a strong competitor for the Owls during the 2019-20 season and has been one of the driving forces behind many of The W’s successes.
HARRODSBURG, Ky. – The W women’s basketball team falls to 5-15 on the season in a 68-60 loss at Campbellsville University – Harrodsburg on Saturday, Jan. 25. In the effort, senior forward My’Neka Frazier recorded her 11th double-double of the season with 24 points and 14 rebounds. She was assisted by senior guard Autumn Taylor who tallied 14 points and seven rebounds.
HARRODSBURG, Ky. – Senior forward My’Neka Frazier recorded her tenth double-double of the season in the Owls 73-46 loss to Florida National University in the opening game of the Campbellsville – Harrodsburg Women’s Basketball Classic. The McComb, Miss. native was responsible for more than half of The W’s points with 24 and a good number of rebounds with 19.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Seniors Autumn Taylor and My’Neka Frazier recorded double-doubles in the Owls 69-65 victory over in-state rival Tougaloo College on Wednesday night in Emma ‘Ody’ Pohl Gymnasium. Taylor, a guard from Newton, Miss., led The W in scoring with 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Frazier, a forward from McComb, Miss., led the Owls in rebounding with 14 boards and 16 points.

The McComb, Miss. native put up a career-high 30 points with a career-high 27 rebounds to lead the Owls in scoring and rebounding.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls women’s basketball team will bring the game home after a month on the road to face fellow USCAA institution Judson College on Tuesday, Jan. 14. The W (3-12) enters Tuesday’s competition after a week off, having lost its last game, 79-62, at Southern University – New Orleans. The Eagles (1-7) have not competed in over a month with the last game being on Dec. 3. Judson hosted Point University and fell 86-50 on its home court.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Director of Athletics Jason Trufant and the Owls athletic program would like to take the time to recognize the 111 student-athletes who received a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall 2019 semester. Because of their academic efforts, the scholars have been named to the Fall 2019 Athletic Director's List. Among those student-athletes recognized, 38 Owls hold at least a 3.5 GPA and 20 finished with a 4.0.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – My’Neka Frazier hit a career-high 25 points Monday night against Southern University – New Orleans in The W women’s basketball team’s second road game of 2020. Christianna Harris added 15 and Rachael McGrew added 13 but it was not enough to beat the Knights. The Owls fell 79-62 inside the Golden Dome.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Autumn Taylor had a career-making night, raining down 36 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Owl women’s basketball team in its effort against Blue Mountain College Thursday night. My’Neka Frazier also had a great night with 11 points and 11 rebounds for her fifth double-double of the season. Despite the great showing by two of the Owls senior players, it was not enough to defeat the Toppers. The W fell 80-60 inside of Emma ‘Ody’ Pohl Gymnasium.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – After a home victory against The University of the South on Wednesday, the Owls women’s basketball team returns to the road this weekend as it travels to Jacksonville, Fla., for a Saturday showdown with Trinity Baptist College at 2 p.m. ET/ 1 p.m. CT inside Trinity Gymnasium.
