HARRODSBURG, Ky. – Senior forward My'Neka Frazier recorded her tenth double-double of the season in the Owls 73-46 loss to Florida National University in the opening game of the Campbellsville – Harrodsburg Women's Basketball Classic. The McComb, Miss. native was responsible for more than half of The W's points with 24 and a good number of rebounds with 19.
Senior guard Autumn Taylor also contributed with a double-double of her own with 10 points and 11 rebounds. She also added four steals and three assists.
As a team, the Owls women's basketball team shot 17-for-52 (32.7 percent) from the field and made 12-of-23 (52.2 percent) from the free-throw line.
The W outrebounded Florida National 47-43 and almost equaled the Conquistadors in second-chance points (16-12) and points in the paint (38-32). The Owls struggled with turnovers with 30 miscues to allow FNU to score 32 points.
Florida National shot 26-for-75 (34.7 percent) from the field, 4-for-19 (21.1 percent) in three-point range, and 17-for-24 at the line. It was led offensively by Ashley Williams and Rosalyn Sealey who scored 14 points each.
The Owls will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 25 when they take on Campbellsville – Harrodsburg. Tipoff is set for 11 a.m. CT / 12. p.m. ET.
