COLUMBUS, Miss. – Head golf coach Benji Williams and the Owls golf program are hosting the first Owls Junior Golf Camp at the River Birch Golf Course with sessions on June 17 –20, July 8-11, and July 22-25. The four-day camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-16. At $100 per session, the camp will be held from 8 a.m. to noon and will include lunch and swimming.

Owls Cross Country Season Opens at MC The Owls men’s and women’s cross country teams open up their season on Friday, August 31 at the Mississippi College Season Opener at Choctaw Trails. The men’s 5k will begin at 5 p.m. and the women’s 5k is set to start at 5:45 p.m.
Volleyball Opens Season at Belhaven Tournament COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls volleyball team will spend the 2018 opening weekend in Jackson, Miss. at the Belhaven University Volleyball Tournament. The two-day tournament will begin on Friday, August 31 and will feature matches between the host Belhaven, Central Baptist University, and your MUW Owls.
UWA Exhibition Tournament Preview COLUMBUS, Miss. – Owls volleyball is back and will get a feel for the 2018 season at the University of West Alabama Exhibition tournament. The W will face-off against three opponents, UWA, Birmingham Southern, and Tuskegee, on Saturday, August 25.
Welcome to the Owls Danica Danica, a local 4-year old girl, was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor in July. This is a cancer of the kidney that is common to children. The tumor and kidney have been removed. Danica has completed radiation treatments and is now undergoing several months of chemotherapy. She and her parents are staying at Ronald McDonald House at St Jude’s for now. The W Athletic Department has adopted her as a member of the Owls and will be hosting several events at games to promote pediatric cancer to raise funds and awareness. Owls Staff Assists with Rock Steady at the Y COLUMBUS, Miss. – The Owls Athletic Department and the Frank P. Phillips Memorial YMCA have formed a partnership to better serve the Columbus Community and The W campus. In one of its first collaborations, the Owls Athletic Staff has offered its time and energy to the YMCA’s Rock Steady Boxing Class.
