Owls Set for Thursday’s Exhibition Against West Alabama

Columbus, Miss. – The women's soccer team will host NCAA Division II opponent West Alabama on Thursday, Aug. 30 to play a preseason exhibition.

The Owls have been working hard to prepare for the season. On Sunday, Aug. 26, the Owls traveled to Alcorn State University, where they won their first exhibition game, 2-1.

"We are excited to host West Alabama in the first home match in the school's history for the women. They will definitely be a different test than what we just played against Alcorn State University," said Head Coach Gray Massey. "This match will be another test of our strength and ability as we prepare for our first official match on Saturday. We will keep working hard and hopefully there will be improvements".

The Owl's game against the West Alabama Tigers is set to begin at 5 p.m. at Columbus Soccer Complex.
