Women's Soccer fall 1-0 in Midweek Match

SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Owls women's soccer team falls 1-0 to Sewanee on Oct. 2.

The Owls started off slow and were unable to find their momentum after Sewanee goal in the first half.

As a team, the Owls recorded five shots with three on goal. Caroline Grafe and Britain Welzien led the team with two shots each and Welzien two shots on goal.

Defensively, goalkeeper Sarah Gilliland played the entire match. Gilliland, sophomore from Brandon, Miss., led the defense with three saves and one goal allowed.

The Owls will bring the game home Sunday, Oct. 7 when they take on LaGrange.
