Longview, TX – The Owls women's soccer drops the first game on the road to LeTourneau University. The LeTourneau Yellowjackets scored two goals at the start of the second half to lead to their win. The W was not able to come back and score, falling 2-0, on Friday afternoon.
Senior goalie Sarah Gilliland played all 90 minutes with 9 saves. The Owls offense had a late start in the second half where they were able to get three shots off. Junior defender Julia Lips almost scored for the Owls offense with one shot on goal.
Despite the outcome, the Owls put up a hard-fought battle and look to come back stronger when they take on East Texas Baptist on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 5 p.m.
