MUW Falls To Hendrix On The Road 6-1

Conway, Ark. – The Owls women's soccer dropped its contest on Friday night at Hendrix College Warrior Field by a tally of 6-1 to the Warriors. The Owls are now 6-6-0 on the season and Hendrix sitting at a 4-3-5 record.

The Owls challenged the Warriors during the match to open up scoring opportunities but were unable to capitalize on the shots.

The Owl's offense was able to get seven shots off and two shots on the goal.

Freshman Lizzie Truelock led the team with five shots with two on goal. Truelock had the only goal for Owls coming in the 2nd period at the 84th minute.

Adding to the offensive efforts with one shot apiece was Junior Jazmin Roman and Senior Caroline Grafe.

In the goal, Sarah Gilliland played the entire 90 minutes and fought to prevent the Owls loss but could not fend off the Warrior's goals.

The Owls will return home on Sunday, Oct. 6 to take on Oakwood University to redeem themselves. The game is scheduled to kick-off at 12 p.m.
