NORFOLK, Va. – With four Owls teams making their first appearance in the USCAA Fall Championships and both basketball team receiving top 20 rankings in the final USCAA Coaches Poll, The W Athletics was ranked 15th in the final standing for the 2019-20 USCAA Director’s Cup.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – Director of Athletics Jason Trufant and the Owls athletic program would like to take the time to recognize the 111 student-athletes who received a GPA of 3.0 or better during the fall 2019 semester. Because of their academic efforts, the scholars have been named to the Fall 2019 Athletic Director's List. Among those student-athletes recognized, 38 Owls hold at least a 3.5 GPA and 20 finished with a 4.0.
NORFOLK, Va. – The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) has revealed the first round of 2019-2020 Director Cup standings. The standings consist of results from the 2019 USCAA Golf, Volleyball, Soccer, and Cross Country National Championships in addition to points for 2019 National Convention attendance and sports offering.

Conway, Ark. – The Owls women’s soccer dropped its contest on Friday night at Hendrix College Warrior Field by a tally of 6-1 to the Warriors. The Owls are now 6-6-0 on the season and Hendrix sitting at a 4-3-5 record.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – In the goal, junior keeper Sarah Gilliland played the entire 90-minute match against Faulkner University to tally eight saves and two goals allowed. Unfortunately, the offense was unable to land a goal and the Owls fell 2-0 to the Eagles Saturday afternoon.
NORFOLK, Va. – The USCAA released the first coaches poll of the 2019-20 season and three Owls programs were named among the top ten. The women’s soccer team who is currently 6-5 overall with wins over Louisiana College and Millsaps College is ranked third among USCAA Division I teams. The Owls volleyball team who is off to one of its best starts since the return of the program in 2017 holds a 4-12 record to be ranked seventh and the men’s soccer team holds a 2-4-3 record to be ranked ninth.
Columbus, Miss. – For the first time in two full weeks, The W women’s soccer team will play at home at the Columbus Soccer Complex it takes on Belhaven University Thursday, Sept. 19 at 5 p.m. It will be the Owls first home game since their thrilling 2-1 double-overtime victory over Louisiana College.
MARSHALL, Texas – The Owls women’s soccer team had a tough Saturday afternoon ending its Texas swing with a 2-0 loss at East Texas Baptist. The W found a challenging opponent in the Tigers of ETBU and were unable to prevent the shutout to move 5-3 on the season.
Longview, TX – The Owls women’s soccer drops the first game on the road to LeTourneau University. The LeTourneau Yellowjackets scored two goals at the start of the second half to lead to their win. The W was not able to come back and score, falling 2-0, on Friday afternoon.
LONGVIEW, Texas – The Owls women’s soccer team will play its first game of the Texas swing when they take on LeTourneau College on Friday, Sept. 13. The W has seen great success so far this season, entering the match 5-1 on the season and undefeated on the road.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The W women’s soccer team got a goal from Lizzie Truelock and then the game-winner in double-overtime from Britain Welzien to defeat Louisiana College at Sprint Mart Field in the Columbus Soccer complex Thursday evening.

TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Owls women’s soccer team scored four goals in the first 29 minutes and another two after halftime to win its first game of the 2019 season against Talladega College. The W held the Tornadoes scoreless Saturday afternoon for an impressive 6-0 shutout versus the NAIA opponent.
COLUMBUS, Miss. – The second season of Owls women’s soccer got off to a shaky start with Florida College scoring two goals in the first half of its season opener. The W was unable to close the gap, falling, 4-1, on Friday night at Sprint Mart Field.
